Financial contributions and assistance

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.

These include:

  • uniforms

  • school books and equipment

  • excursions

  • co-curricular activities.

Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

Financial assistance

If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.

Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.

Mian schooling costs

Although the school receives some money for student assistance, and our "Breakfast Club Program" is subsidised, there is a significant shortfall in funds to provide for the start of each term for each students' needs, regarding books, stationery, craft & art materials as well as money for calculators and other incidentals.

The School would therefore like to ask parents / carers for a voluntary contribution for each term that a student is enrolled. The amount of that voluntary contribution being  $10.00 per term.

Suggestions for paying the voluntary contribution:

  • Paid off at $1.00 per week, or $2.00 per fortnight.
  • $10.00 paid at the start of each term
  • $30.00 paid at the beginning of the year, (a $10.00 discount for paying in full at the beginning of the year).

Money can be paid to the School's front office between 9:00am & 3:30pm weekdays.

Mian School wishes to thank Parents & Carers for their continuing support of Mian School Programs.
